Roots & Shoots is an environmental, animal welfare and humanitarian youth outreach programme with sister-programmes in 110 countries. Roots & Shoots empowers young people to help fix human, animal welfare and environmental problems in their communities.

We know that young people have everything they need in their own hands, hearts and minds to solve many of the problems they see around them. Roots & Shoots can help them realise that. At the same time, the programme teaches valuable leadership and project management skills like organisation, planning, design, cost management and team building, as well as giving these wonderful individuals confidence as they realise that each and every person really can make a positive difference for people, animals and the environment and, ultimately, for the planet.

In connecting with this unique global youth network, Roots & Shoots also offers local students access to an international web of like-minded young people. Passionate, compassionate young people in Singapore have the chance to to connect with 8000 other groups around the world to share their experiences and build partnerships through cultural exchange.
