Our Roots & Shoots groups in Singapore are hard at work with ongoing projects. The Singapore American School organised a recycling project encouraging the participation of over 1000 students. Hwa Chong Institution collaborated with NTUC for a Walk-a-thon to feed 4000 Singapore families. CHIJ Kellock organised for their school of 1220 to participate in Earth Hour to encourage energy conservation and NUS are organising a campus recycling education campaign aimed at increasing recycling rates from a campus rate of 12% to the national rate of 56%.

Lots of schools and community groups are taking environmental action. Join our cause and develop projects in your area! Our student community leaders have spearheaded projects in many different sectors of Singapore's community. Click here to read a few of our recently featured projects.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE

Roots & Shoots Singapore believes in not only extending our help to animals and the environment. We're all part of the ecosystem, so we reach out to our neighbours too.

Spring cleaning for homes of the elderly
Accompanying the visually handicapped on walks at Pulau Ubin
Collecting clothes and food for welfare organisations

Our groups are making a difference in our own communities and are also spreading the word about caring for the world through cultural exchange programmes, regional outreach and projects tailored to helping the distinct needs in our community. Together, we can make a difference.
